ZEAL Hotline for Liturgical Abuse

With the publication of my book Zeal For Thy House: Suffering Through Mass, it is possible that even more people will begin to be aware that the nagging physical symptoms they are experiencing following Sunday Mass are due to what they've endured in their local parish.

Perhaps, then,  it's time to consider establishing a ZEAL Hotline for Liturgical Abuse.

I can see it now...here's a potential scenario as the calls come pouring in:

Upon being told the local "musicians" insist EVERY Sunday on singing that horrid, "Glow-ree-ah, cha-cha-cha!" dittie, the Hotline blogmistress inquired . . .

In addition, the Hotline can provide continuing education on the appropriate response that a faithful Catholic ought to have to illicit deviations from the GIRM. Some good illustrations are provided by the animal kingdom [hint: turn off sound first]...

…and of course, there is the scriptural truth, “out of the mouths of babes”…

Okay, the baby at the 1 minute mark - the one who laughs...well, that's a reaction that bodes trouble in the future. This baby should NOT receive guitar lessons at any point in the future, nor should she ever be given a tambourine to play with.

You may be able to avoid the need to use the hotline, though, by taking a pre-emptive measure:

Read Zeal For Thy House: Suffering Through Mass

It will help you development discernment; it will show you that you are not alone in your suffering; and it will give you some hope, too!

It’s available at Amazon, and there’s a Kindle version as well.
