I’ve been ruminating on this… Here’s my gut reaction, which is perhaps a dangerous thing, but I have to say it:
WHAT ARE THEY THINKING?!
We’re not supposed to bash our bishops, but come ON! Take the German bishops (please…take them!).
“It’s not porn, by legal definition…it’s just erotica.”
For Heaven’s sake! With “shepherds” like that, we don’t need wolves, now do we?!
“But it’s really legal,” they say,
As if that will make it okay.
“Porn? It is not-ica!
It’s only erotica!”
There will be a price to pay.
Why are they ignoring the health and well-being of the souls entrusted to them? Don’t they know they have to account to God for each of the souls in their care?
What these bishops are trying to sell
Is rotten and has a bad smell.
“Porn? It is not-ica!
It’s only erotica!”
You know, this could lead to hell.
…if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked man from his way: that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but I will require his blood at thy hand. But if thou tell the wicked man, that he may be converted from his ways, and he be not converted from his way he shall die in his iniquity: but thou hast delivered thy soul. Ezekiel 33:8-9
They’re selling some really bad stuff
But pretending it’s really just fluff.

Stop! We’ve all heard enough!
You can call it bashing if you want, but I call it warning them of their wickedness, and I’m protecting my own soul by calling it to their attention.
Shape up, you bishops! There’s a lot riding on your leadership of the Church. Okay, I’m done now. Deep cleansing breaths.
Oh my gosh, do we ever need to pray for them!
